Doctor doctor

Back at school for one week… and Bradley is sick again!

I took him to the doc yesterday…. again, and it’s just a throat infection and the start of an ear infection.  I ended up moaning about the amount of times he gets sick, and the doc has suggested that we test his iron levels. Poor nunu, he now has to have blood tests.  But hopefully, we find something that is causing all this illness.

I chatted to him about the sulphur problem too, and he just said we should avoid it as much as we can.  There’s no point testing him because the tests only say sulphur and not what type of sulphur apparently (but since then I’ve spoken to people who say they can test for different sulphurs and sulphates… so who knows?).  It seems like we’re on the right track though, because his skin is clear again and he rarely complains about being itchy anymore.

As for Connor, Lance took him for a checkup today for his arm.  The doc says it’s healing perfectly, and there’s no need for more x-rays thank goodness.  There’s still a bit of a bump because the bone has grown back skew, but it’s not as pronounced as the last time it was checked.

So Lance had fun today, on his first day at home.  LOL!  He got to take both kids to the doctor together, over a feeding time.  He’s never taken both of them out on his own.  So it was a baptism of fire for him.  I was giggling at him because he was so stressed.  It’s about time!  Connor is almost 1!  In the end he didn’t manage to take Bradley for the tests, so he’s going to have to go back tomorrow again.  LOL!  It would have taken another 10 minutes, but I think he’d just had enough by then and wanted to get them home.  Men!  But if he stays at home, he’s going to have to do more and more of this kind of thing!

Oh that is such fun…Lance doing the stay-at-home daddy thing!

I love hearing about men pulling the stereotypical woman thing. Good for him, you’re a lucky woman!

Oh, I hear you pain with the kids being sick.. I have my own room at the office.. nah, I don’t, but I should I am there so often. What is this about sulphur? I need to go read up on it.. You have an awesome blog.. found you through the Buzz.

Glad that the itchiness is mostly gone. Poor little man, being sick again. It’s not fair for him is it?

Is Lance at home already? That was fast! Hugs man - hope the kids get better soon.

Jeanette it’s a very good idea to get his iron levels checked. When Dr Simmank picked up that Ethan was aneamic she said this was the cause of alot of his throat and chest infections. Since the Iron meds he hasn’t even had a runny nose and they have been running in the rain at school with no shoes. Normally he would at least have bronchitis by now so I really think it’s a good idea even though having blood tests done aren’t a nice experience at all for them.
