Overheard in the lift
2008 January 23
A guy got in the lift (elevator) with me in the car parkade this evening. I was on my way home.
He was on his cell phone as he got in the lift, and this is what he said to the person on the other end.
“Honey, I’m working late. I have a deadline that I have to meet. I’ll be here for quite a long time”
I didn’t hear anything else, because at that point he got out of the lift, to go to his car.
Ja right! I wonder where he was going, because he was clearly not staying at the office. Hee hee!
oh man….that almost makes me sad. I don’t know him….or his “honey” but oh dear……not good.
that sucks too bad you weren’t in a position to ‘out’ him!
That makes me sad too! Those men suck.
or … maybe he was telling her that so he could go home and catch her in the act…..

OR maybe he was saying I will be home late, so he could surprise her by bringing home dinner and flowers?
You just don’t know.
Sis on him- hopefully loadshedding prevented him from going where he wanted to.
As much as I’d like to see the upside of this, I’ve overheard too many men saying the same thing. Ugh.
