10 things I’d buy if I won a million dollars

I haven’t done one of these in a while, and I thought this week’s theme was fun.  The rules: There’s no getting by easy on this one like saying “giving it to charity” or “saving it for my kids’ college”. You’ve got a million dollars, and you’ve got to spend it on yourself. Your list can add up to a million dollars, or each of the items on your list could be huge million dollar splurges. Your choice! Be greedy, spoil yourself!

Okey dokey then, here’s my list…  which turned out to be quite tricky because I have to convert everything to dollars from Souff Effrikan Rond!  I was also very tempted to save rather than spend it.

1.  A holiday home somewhere exotic, I’m not fussy, as long as there’s sun, sea and sand - 400k

2.  A brand new out the box swanky 4×4 – 70k times 2 (I’d have to get another one for Lance) – 140k

3.  Complete photography kit, including new camera, lenses, tripod etc – 20k

4.  Brand new house with all the bells and whistles – 325k

5.  Family trip to New Zealand to visit Lance’s sister, and then come home via Oz – 20k (yip, we’d go BIG)

6.  New wardrobe for me and the boys (all 3 of them) - 10k

7.  A horse for Bradley, and then probably for Connor too – 10k

8.  Family trip to Disney and the US - 15k

9.  Tanzanite jewellery before it disappears completely – 20k

10.  New furniture for the house from Weylandts - 40k

Seriously though, if we won that money, we’d emigrate in a flash. No hesitation whatsoever. And we’d leave money behind for our parents, and grandparents.
