Dancing to the tune
Firstly, something happy… Connor dancing outside yesterday, to the tune on his new ride-on. I love the shaking of his head. It’s a phase that’s passing because he’s starting to move his body properly now, so I decided to video it quickly.
I had to cheer myself up by watching that again.
As we got home this evening, Bradley spotted the panic button on the door frame (no idea why he only saw it now), and then duly pressed it.
We explained about how the police are going to come to help us now, and once we’d cancelled the call at the armed response (who phoned within 30 seconds which was impressive), we showed him where the other buttons are and then explained when he must press them (and then what he must do after pressing them for help).
It kills me that I have to explain this to him. He’s only 4. He shouldn’t have to know about this crap yet. I really hope he doesn’t get nightmares tonight.
And then to end the day, which was crap in general…. I just really needed wine… and I couldn’t find a everyday kind of wine to open, so I opened a 2002 Buitenverwachting wine just for me. Hmmm, it was good!

Good on you for the wine!!
Sorry your day was crap!
And it is crappy having to explain these things to our kids
Am glad you found some nice wine though.
Yay for dancing babies!
South Africa makes one of my favorite wine varietals. I LOVE pinotage. I think the Baobab brand was the tastiest for me. Mmmm…
