13 reasons to do the JP Morgan Challenge

I took part in the JP Morgan Chase Corporate Challenge this evening, and I reckon I’m going to do it again next year… for the following reasons:
The start
1.  I need to do more exercise

2.  It was fun albeit exhausting.

3.  Its a great way to build relationships in the team

4.  I got a free t-shirt :)

5.  It’s not that long, so it’s do-able on my level of fitness

6.  For every up hill, there’s a downhill… remember that!

7.   There’s no other way to go walking in the city and feel safe.

8.  The walk is through a very swanky part of the city, and the houses are just amazing… or rather the imposing garden walls are (you couldn’t see that much).

9.  You get to drink water from those sachets at watering points.

10.  I got to go shopping for new shorts :)

11. It’s only 5.6km long

12.  I saw a guy doing it with crutches, if he can, then I can!

13.  And finally, because I need to better my shocking time of 1:03:02 next year

I was very active in a Corporate Challenge at the place I use to work. Then one year they didn’t ask me to participate. It was because they had decided to fire me. Sheesh.

My current employer isn’t as involved in the corporate challenge. Great post. looks like you had a lot of fun.

My Thursday Thirteen this week is #70. 13 Children’s Books That Were Never Written Stop by if you get a chance

Congrats, glad you were able to make it. I’d probably have collapsed half way through it and needed to be stretchered out!!

Very good! I used to walk 10km every other day back before the girls were born…every week that passed my time dropped, so just keep up the training and next time you might be able to cut that time in half.
