Seaside here we come!

I’m getting quite excited about our little trip now.  We’re going on Friday morning, so I’ll be absent for a few days or so.  I don’t actually know what I’m going to do without the net, and my blogging addiction… I’m going to have serious withdrawals… and lots of sleep :)

Bradley has been counting the sleeps for a while now, and is talking about swimming in the sea quite a lot.  His memories of our previous sea holiday 2 years ago are very sketchy!

We like to go every year, but last year with Connor being born etc we decided not to go… because the memory of our bad holiday when Bradley was 4 mths old stuck in our minds.

When Bradley was just 4 months old we went away to Ballito for 10 days, and Bradley promptly got very bad gastro and we ended up spending 5 days in hospital with him.  It was not a good experience.

I’m not actually sure where we’re going to fit all our stuff in the car, but that’s friday morning’s problem.

Until then it’s going to be HECTIC.  I’m supposed to be at work late tomorrow and Thursday for meetings and a new software release, but I have to pack and get stuff for the trip… and Lance is away at the moment in Cape Town so I’m going to have to get out of it.  Ho hum, the joys of being a working mother… I know this time off is hurting my career. :|

ooh hope you get everything sorted out without too much hassle! Sounds like you’ll have a good break :)

I hope you have a fabulous time at the seaside! I don’t envy you your struggles as a working mother!

Sounds awesome. We are also going away for a couple of days at the beginning of May. Can’t wait :)

It sounds exciting!

Have a great time!

Ummmm…why should a few hard-earned days off hurt your career? Shouldn’t it, in actual fact be a good thing for your employer? You will come back rejuvenated and refreshed, full of sparkling creative ideas….

Oh yes, I forgot. Corporations make no real sense after all…..

A few days off won’t hurt your career - especially the hours that you have been putting in lately!!

Enjoy it and DO NOT feel guilty. Don’t even THINK about work. Just relax and enjoy the time with the boys.

Enjoy your holiday Jeanette - you deserve it!
the boys are going to have a blast :)
